Bretagne classic ouest-france

Delko - Marseille Provence back to Plouay

08/5/2019

Since its accession to the ProContinentale level, in 2016, the Delko - Marseille Provence team has been invited each year by the Plouay Festival Committee to compete in the Bretagne Classic - Ouest-France. The Provençal team has also known all the editions of the new bretonWorldTour’s classic and will live its fourth participation on Sunday, September 1st.

Unmistakable in the breakaways of Bretagne Classic - Ouest-France, men of Delko - Marseille Provence never disappoint when it comes to blasting the race. Since 2016, the Provencal squad have always participated in the breakaway of the day with RomainCombaud in 2016, Delio Fernandez in 2017 and Mauro Finetto in 2018.

Once again, it’s in this register that they will be expected. The Marseillais, however, should count on a nice extra card in their game with the Lithuanian Ramunas Navardauskas who has already ranked 3rd in the Plouaysian event in 2015.

In the Marseille team, we should also find the rider of Saint-Brieuc, Fabien Schmidt. As one of the best French amateurs in the last five years, Fabien Schmidt knows Brittany in all its aspects.

With Ramunas Navardauskas and Eduard-Michael Grosu

Delko – Marseille Provence presented its first riders list scheduled in Plouay under the direction of sports director Gorka Guerricagoitia.

231. Romain Combaud (Fra, 28). French races blaster, the rider from Châteauneuf-sur-Cher, recent 2nd Grand Prix La Marseillaise and 3rd in a stage on the Circuit de la Sarthe, should appreciate the small bumps from the Bretagne Classic. Recall that in 2016 he took part in the breakaway of the day ...

232. Eduard-Michael Grosu (Rou, 26). The Romanian sprinter will discover Plouay. Winner this season of Ronde van Limburg, Belgium, the new recruit of Delko - Marseille Provence will be able to take advantage of his speed to get a good place on the Bretagne Classic.

233. Przemyslaw Kasperkiewicz (Pol, 25). The Polish rider is know in Brittany where he won in Saint-Pern in 2017. He will want to take the breakaway. Winner this season on the Tour of Rwanda, he will also be there to support his leaders.

234. Jérémy Leveau (Fra, 27). The Normand knows Brittany well, author of a nice season 2019 with many places of honor. He also has the profile of the rider who can take the breakaway of the day.

235. Ramunas Navardauskas (Ltu, 31). The Lithuanian Champion, a former stage winner on the 2014 Tour de France and the 2013 Giro d'Italia, will be the most watched man on his team. The bronze medalist of the 2015 world championship is indeed a specialist of the Plouaysian event on which he has already ranked 3rd in 2015 and 12th in 2016. He will be counted among the outsiders ...

236. Fabien Schmidt (Fra, 30). The most local rider of the Marseille team already know almost every kilometer of Brittany Classic. The winner of the Tour de Bretagne 2018 would be a good guide for the breakaway of the day.

237. Evaldas Siskevicius (Ltu, 30). A strong rider, the Lithuanian will be there to support his compatriot Navardauskas.

The announced substitutes are Alessandro Fedeli (Ita), Delio Fernandez Cruz (Esp) and Iuri Filosi (Ita).
